Why We Built This

The barcode generation landscape is dominated by B2B companies that offer free tools as lead generation for expensive software packages. Most limit free usage to 10 barcodes per session, lock vector downloads behind paywalls, or require account creation before you can generate a single barcode. Amazon FBA sellers, Etsy shop owners, small business operators, and developers deserve better.

BarcodeGen.org generates barcodes entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript. Your data never leaves your device. There are no API calls, no server-side processing, and no analytics tracking of your barcode content. The tool works offline once loaded.

Technical Details

The barcode engine is powered by bwip-js, an open-source JavaScript translation of Barcode Writer in Pure PostScript (BWIPP). This library is the industry reference implementation for barcode encoding, used by organizations worldwide to generate standards-compliant barcode images.
